The beginnings of Lille Lesquin airport

The history of Lille Lesquin airport begins in 1936, at the dawn of the Second World War. The airfield was intended for the military to serve as an operating platform. At that time, it was still called Seclin-Enchemont. In 1937, it is operational then it is invested by the GAO 501.
